Trimed hook plate for internal fixation of lateral malleolus fractures

[目的]探讨 Trimed 钩钢板在 Danis-Weber A 型外踝骨折中的临床疗效。[方法]2019 年 7 月—2021 年 1 月，共收治 Weber A 型踝关节骨折患者 20 例，按医患沟通结果分为两组。10 例采用 Trimed 钩形钢板固定外踝骨折(钩钢板组)，10 例采用无钩钢板固定外踝骨折(无钩钢板组)。比较两组临床与影像资料。[结果]两组患者均顺利完成手术，钩钢板组外踝部手术时间显著短于无钩钢板组(P＜0.05)。两组患者随访 10 个月以上，随术后时间推移，两组患者 AOFAS 和 Maryland 评分均显著增加 (P＜0.05)，相应时间点，钩钢板组的 AOFAS 和 Maryland 评分均显著优于无钩钢板组 (P＜0.05)。影像方面，钩钢板组术后影像显示的骨折复位质量显著优于无钩钢板组 (P＜0.05)，钩钢板组影像显示骨折愈合时间显著早于无钩钢板组 (P＜ 0.05)。[结论]对于 Danis-Weber A 型外踝骨折，钩钢板内固定的临床效果明显优于无钩钢板。

Abstract:

[Objective] To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Trimed hook plate for internal fixation of Danis-Weber type A lateral malle- olus fracture. [Methods] From July 2019 to January 2021, a total of 20 patients with Danis-Weber A ankle fracture were divided into two groups based on doctor-patient communication. Of them, 10 patients had the fracture fixed with Trimed hook plate, while the other 10 pa- tients had the fracture treated with conventional non-hook plate. The clinical and imaging data were compared between the two groups. [Results] The patients in both groups were operated on successfully. The hook plate group consumed significantly shorter operation time for lat- eral malleolus fracture management than the non-hook plate group (P＜0.05) . As time went on during the follow-up period lasted for more than 10 months, both AOFAS and Maryland scores increased significantly (P＜0.05) . The hook plate group was significantly superior to the non- hook plate group in abovementioned scores at all matching time points postoperatively (P＜0.05) . Radiographically, the hook plate group got significantly better fracture reduction quality, and significantly earlier fracture healing than the non-hook plate group (P＜0.05) . [Conclusion] This hook plate takes considerable advantages over the conventional non-hook plate in term of early outcomes for internal fix- ation of Danis-Weber type A lateral malleolus fractures.
