Abstract:Objective To analyze the reason and distribution of orthopedic patientsin Mali Chinese level-II hospital of the United Nations. Methods Statistical analysis was conducted on the data of orthopedic patients who were admitted to Chinese level-II hospitalfrom September 2022 to August 2023.Data of disease types,countries and time were summarized and analyzed by outpatient registration and expert consultation. [Results]A total of 3442 cases were received in one year, with orthopedic diseases accounting for 13.28% . There were 326 participants, 306 males and 20 females, aged 20-61(35.09 ± 8.38) years in the study. ①Disease category: softtissue injury 62.58% ; strain-induced low back pain 13.80% ; fracture 11.35% . ②The most number in orthopedic patients is military staff(79.14%)The top five countries were Jordan (13.66%) , Egypt (12.95%) , Sri Lanka (10.29%) , China (9.80%) and Bangladesh (9.44%) .③The occurrence time was mainly concentrated in rainy season and cool season (80.06%),and reached the peak in June and September.④The sites of the disease were lower limbs 141(40.63%) , waist 81(23.34%) , upper limbs 79(22.77%) , shoulder 26(7.49%) and head and neck 13(3.75%) . [Conclusion]The main types of orthopedic diseases of peacekeepers in Mali are soft tissue injury, low back pain and fracture.The patientsmainly occurred in Jordan, Egypt,Sri Lanka,China,Bangladesh and other countries with a large number of troops.The number of orthopedic diseases reach peak in rainy season,cool season and rotation period.It is suggested that professional and comprehensive orthopedic surgeons and rehabilitation physiotherapists is necessary tosatisfied the needs of medical security.
