The joint manuscript review and academic seminar between Luliang First People's Hospital and the Orthopedic Journal of China was successfully held

On January 17, 2026, the Luliang First People's Hospital and the editorial department of Orthopedic Journal of China jointly held a manuscript review and academic seminar at the Luliang First People's Hospital, which was successfully held. Many authoritative experts and scholars in the industry attended the on-site meeting, including Professor Sun Lei, Editor-in-Chief of Orthopedic Journal of China, Professor Qu Tiebing from Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, Professor Wang Jingcheng from Subei People's Hospital in Jiangsu Province, Professor Wang Liqun, medical editor of Orthopedic Journal of China, Professor Zhang Qin from Yuncheng Central Hospital affiliated to Shanxi Medical University, and Professor Qiao Xiaohong from Luliang First People's Hospital.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Qiao Xiaohong, the Party Secretary of Luliang First People's Hospital, pointed out that as a leader in the medical industry in Luliang, Luliang First People's Hospital has always been shouldering the important mission of safeguarding the health of local people. As a key clinical specialty and key discipline in Shanxi Province, the Orthopedics Department has achieved fruitful results in multiple fields such as joint replacement, spinal minimally invasive surgery, and trauma repair. The cooperation with the editorial department of Orthopedic Journal of China to hold a manuscript review meeting aims to build a high-level academic exchange platform and promote the regional orthopedics industry to a new level.
The conference review session focused on the on-site review and in-depth discussion of four manuscripts. First, the authors presented the core content of their manuscripts, followed by professional comments from two lead reviewers on dimensions such as scientificity and innovativeness. Finally, Professor Sun Lei, the editor-in-chief of the journal, analyzed each manuscript one by one. Through in-depth research, the lead reviewers accurately pointed out the problems and optimization directions in the manuscripts. Professor Sun Lei focused on the rationality of research design, data consistency, scientificity of statistical analysis, and key points for writing the discussion section, meticulously explaining potential issues and improvement ideas. He provided specific modification suggestions one by one, providing precise guidance to the authors and helping to improve the quality of the manuscripts. Through the collision of ideas, the authors clearly recognized the deficiencies and directions for revision in their manuscripts. This was undoubtedly a valuable opportunity for young doctors to enhance their scientific research abilities and academic growth, effectively promoting the upgrading of manuscript quality.
In addition to the review process, the conference also arranged a rich and diverse series of academic discussion activities. The participating experts gave wonderful academic lectures. Professor Qu Tiebing shared the research and practice of precise kinematic alignment assisted by the Longxi TKA robot, whose innovative ideas and unique methods broadened everyone's horizons. Professor Wang Jingcheng gave a detailed explanation of the application progress of stem cell technology in musculoskeletal system repair. Professor Sun Lei focused on the "key points for writing clinical orthopedic articles" and shared writing skills and experience for high-quality manuscripts. Professor Zhang Qin shared the difficulties and insights in diagnosing difficult cases in spinal surgery based on clinical practice, providing invaluable experience. Professor Qiao Xiaohong introduced the research and application demonstration of rehabilitation walking assistive robots for patients with lower limb dysfunction, which is highly practical. Participants expressed that the content of the expert lectures was both cutting-edge and practical, not only broadening their academic horizons but also providing important guidance for improving their scientific research abilities and paper writing skills.
At the closing ceremony, Professor Sun Lei, the Chief Editor of Orthopedic Journal of China emphasized that the journal has been adhering to the principle of "serving clinical practice and promoting innovation" for over three decades. This review meeting combined paper review with academic discussion, providing young scholars with practical assistance in enhancing their research and paper writing skills through face-to-face guidance from experts. Moving forward, the journal will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with key industry disciplines, jointly cultivate high-quality academic achievements, and contribute more significantly to the high-quality development of China's orthopedic surgery industry.
